Nearly every major innovation, discovery and invention in the history of mankind has been a result of an idea, or a dream to be more precise. The urge to realize that dream did indeed lead to its realization. Same is the case with modern-day technology. Movies have long depicting the future towards which we seem to be moving. Here’s an infographic about how what we have accomplished through technology today has been shown in the movies in the past.
Many movies are based on fiction, so they don’t necessarily have to conform to the limits of ‘practicality’ with respect to the time during which they are produced. Naturally, this results in pieces of art which are, though futuristic, but bring out the truly creative side of our imaginations.
It is precisely because of this that most of things that we have today, such as Apple iPad, Google car, Google glasses and other gadgets and devices have been presented in movies in the past, as a concept or as an actual, fictitious product. Does this mean that subconsciously, mankind tries to live up to the things, ideas it has imagined or that, we are able to think up ideas long before we can practically bring together the intellect and resources to realize them.
The infographic, which has been created by Attsavings, depicts how movies in the past have already spoken of things like tablets, animal cloning, UAVs, wave scanner and a lot more, things that are real and existent today.
