Buffalo has unveiled a new portable hard drive, called the Buffalo MiniStation HD-PCT500U2/V. The new Buffalo MiniStation HD-PCT500U2/V portable HDD is quite a different device from typical hard drives. This new portable device is a TV friendly HDD which is designed to be stuck on the back of HDTV and most importantly it can record TV programs. But, this device will work with supported TVs only.

The Buffalo MiniStation HD-PCT500U2/V external hard drive should be available in Japan later this month for price of 9,480 Yen (about $114).
