D-Link has introduced two new cloud routers under its entertainment product line – Cloud Router 1200 (DIR-636L) and Cloud Router 2000 (DIR-826L). Both of these routers support speed of up to 300 Mbps and 600 Mbps respectively. Both the cloud routers include mydlink™ Cloud Services for easy management and configuration.
Cloud Router 1200 and Cloud Router 2000 feature powered amplifiers, remote management and USB SharePort app for sharing media with all devices in the home network. Both are 802.11n routers, but Cloud Router 2000 features dual bands – 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz – to avoid interference from other devices. These two new routers have a full-sized USB port which could hook into a selection of devices and bring all that devices contents towards the cloud. In addition, these drives are able to work with the D-Link SharePort mobile app to access a connected hard drive. This gives instant access to loads of files where before you’d have had to have used up that space on your smartphone. You can block specific parties from access to your newly cloud-pushed drive from your desktop or your mobile device.
The price of DIR-636L is $89.99 and DIR-826L is $129.99. Both DIR-636L and DIR-826L Cloud Routers are available at Amazon, Fry’s, Micro Center, New Egg, Office Depot, OfficeMax, and other retail and e-tail partners. For more, visit D. Link
