Few days ago, Mozilla officially launched Firefox 28 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. The version includes VP9 video decoding, Web notifications on OS X, and volume controls for HTML5 video and audio. And following that launch, yesterday Mozilla launched Firefox 29 Beta for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android.
In this new version, Firefox Sync has been revamped and is now powered by Firefox Accounts (Firefox Accounts lets users keep track of their login credentials for various services, their bookmarks, history, and any open tabs). On the other side, Firefox Sync service actually lets users take their bookmarks, tabs, and personal information with them to another device.
According to Mozilla, the revamped feature “makes it even easier to setup and add multiple devices.” Let’s have a look at what’s new in Firefox beta depending on what device you’re using.
