Finnish phone manufacturer Nokia has started shipping its flagship camera phone called Nokia 808 PureView in US. Now the company’s flagship ultra high resolution camera phone is in stock at Amazon. The 41 MP camera phone with Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia Belle is being sold for $699 without a contract.
The $699 price tag seems to a bit high for a mobile device. But the 41 MP camera justifies the price.
Before coming to the States the phone made its first landing in Russia and India, about 2 months ago. Before its commercial launch, Nokia 808 PureView has received multiple awards including Best Mobile Device at Mobile World Congress 2012 and Best Imaging Innovation for 2012 from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
