Everything People Like About Windows 8, If They Actually Like It First

Just one month before the awaited launch of Windows 8 operating system (OS) some interesting statistics has come out showing consumer response to the flagship product. A survey conducted by forumswindows8.com, which drew 50,000 user votes, asked Windows users about different aspects of the old and the new OS by Microsoft. And, the response was pretty amazing. For example, most of the users believe Metro UI to be the biggest weakness of Windows 8. Find some more interesting information inside.


Windows 7 and Windows 8

According to the survey, the most favorite feature of Windows 8 is its fast boot-up and shut down processes, with 56% users giving the feature thumbs up. Some users gave Windows 8 thumbs down due to its price. Although users can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro at only $39.99, without promotional pricing, the cost is $199.99; a price many users detest. Around 35% Windows 8 users believe that a price tag of $199.99 is too high. The new metro UI, the most distinct feature of Windows 8, hasn’t attracted users that much. This feature is favorite to 22% of users only.

Based on the survey, of all the most popular OS of Windows, Windows 7 is on top. Around 53% users prefer Windows 7, while only 25% users enjoy Windows 8. Here are the full poll results.
