Calgary, AB – Announcing Jasra Inc., the developer of Josh & Emma Go to the Beach, are pleased to launch the first story in a series for iPad users. This is a story for young children, ages two to four, about a brother and sister who explore the beach. Along the way, there are opportunities for interaction that teaches little ones about counting, colors and object names. The app has a child narrator’s voice and features beautiful, kid perfect graphics. Until October 31, 2010 users are able to purchase Josh & Emma Go to the Beach for only 99 cents, which is half price.

Josh & Emma are two lovable characters who decide to go to the beach. As they move along, children who are viewing the app are invited to join in and put objects, like seashells or starfish, into a big red bucket. As each item goes into the pail, a child’s voice counts it. Once everything is gathered into the bucket, the contents are dumped back out onto the sand, where colors and the object’s proper name is addressed.

Little ones from two to four years of age have a lot of fun with the app and have no idea that they are learning useful information. They probably wouldn’t care if they did know, simply because they enjoy being part of the story and spending time with the adorable characters.

The entire story is interactive. Children merely have to touch any of the beautiful, high quality graphics to hear the name and color of the object they’ve just put their finger on.
