HTC is going to release a new Windows Phone which carries a model number of 8XT. HTC 8XT is Sprint’s first Windows smartphone to hit U.S. market, scheduled for July 19 launch.
The HTC 8XT features a 4.3-inch screen with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) and a pixel density of 217ppi. It packs a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. Other hardware include 1GB RAM and 8GB native storage which is expandable up-to 64GB through the microSD slot. The 8MP rear facing snapper captures video in 1080 x 1920 pixels. There is a 1.6MP front-facing camera too. The phone comes with a 1,800mAh battery.
The HTC 8XT will be sold through Sprint for $99.99 after a $50 rebate with a two-year contract.
Sprint also announced it’s second Windows Phone 8 device, the Samsung’s Ativ S Neo, which packs a 4.8 inch HD display, 1GB RAM and a removable 2,000mAh battery. The Samsung’s Ativ S Neo will be available later this summer for a contract price of $149.99.
