American Airlines (AA) has decided to equip its flight attendants Galaxy Note tablet PCs. Though AA has not mentioned, what version of Galaxy Note the company will provide to its flight attendants, the announcement page of AA seems to indicate 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note adoption.
American Airlines will give Galaxy Note to all of its 17,000 in-flight attendants. The flight attendants will be able to manage data of premium passenger meal services, real-time weather updates, seat assignments and loyal program status by using the device. The company is expected that 91 percent of its domestic fleet will be Wi-Fi enabled by the end of the year.
Airline’s Chief Information Officer, Maya Leibman said, “We’re pioneering important new technologies as part of our continued effort to build a new American and return to industry leadership. As we continue to evolve into a more modern airline and explore ways to enhance the travel experience, we are giving our people the tools they need to offer our loyal customers ease of travel both in the air and on the ground.”
