For long time we had been hearing that South Korean tech giant Samsung will unveil a 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 lite tablet. And last Thursday, the company finally wrapped off the suspense.
The Samsung 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet measures 193.4 mm x 116.4 mm x 9.7 mm and weighs 310 grams. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and packs 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. Its display provides a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
The tablet has a battery of 3,600mAh which helps the tablet run for up to eight hours of video playback on a single charge. Besides, the tablet also supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS and 3G (SIM support).
The tablet comes with pre-loaded apps including Chrome, Gmail, Google+, Maps, Play Books, Play Movies, Play Music, Play Store, Hangouts, YouTube, Samsung Apps, Samsung Hub, ChatON, Dropbox, Polaris Office, and Flipboard. Unfortunately, the tablet has no front facing camera.
Samsung has said that the tablet will be made available globally. Though the company did not reveal any details of the price and availability of the tablet for different markets, the company did say that the tablet will make its debut in white and black versions.
