Mozilla has released a new version of Firefox – 13.0.1- for all major operating systems. Firefox 13.0.1 is available for download at the Mozilla’s official website. Existing Firefox users should see update notifications in their browsers. Firefox team has fixed some major bugs and added some new features for easy and quick navigation.
Firefox 13 has solved three major bugs related to Windows Messenger and Hotmail, Flash 11.3 crash issues, and incorrect rendering issues of Hebrew texts. Firefox team has also added two new features for quick access and navigation. Users will be presented with their most visited websites after opening new tabs, and the default homepage will also have quicker access to history, bookmarks and more.
The new Firefox also applied some tweaks to speed up the browsing as well as the browser. The team enabled SPDY protocol by default for faster web browsing. Smooth scrolling is also enabled by default in the new version. For faster startup of the browser default loading of restored background tabs has been turned off.
Firefox 13.0.1 can be downloaded from Mozilla’s official website. Existing installations should be updated automatically. To get the update manually, select “Help” from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser’s window, then pick “About Firefox.” Mac users need to select “About Firefox” from the Firefox menu. If your Firefox is affected by bugs, you should update it as soon as possible. For you ease, if you don’t use the English language version, Fully Localized Versions are also available for download.
