During Facebook IPO is provided details about its user base. That time it reported have 800 million active user. If the growth rate was increasing then it should not have taken that long. But its very clear that most of the possible people on planet Earth already have Facebook, so Facebook growth decreased. But now its finally One billion. World Largest community and by far not close to any netizen. Now only China & India has more population then Facebook!
With the announcement Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg also shared their first brand video. In the video they tried to focus on all regular day object that connects us like Chairs, doorbells, airplanes, bridges, games. All things that connect us in their language.

Important things here is Facebook calling One Billion “Active User”. So the definition of “Active User” is important here. Facebook does not focus on number of registered user, it focus on real people using Facebook on regular basis. Here another things to note, Facebook reportedly closed around 80 million fake account starting from September 27, 2012. So after the house cleaning its celebrating One Billion real active user.
Facebook also reveals some other interesting statistical facts like – Facebook has seen 1.13 trillion Likes, 140.3 billion friend connections, 219 billion photos uploaded, 17 billion geo-tagged posts, as well as in excess of 62.6 million songs played a total of 22 billion times.
