Advertised as a platform “where ordinary ideas become extraordinary projects”, Rock the Post is a free business social network that gathered a lot of attention recently. Serving as a bridge between people looking to turn their projects into successful businesses or to get involved and help great ideas take off, Rock the Post is itself a bright project expected to become a sensation. On this fresh social network people create posts to share their ideas.
Then, investors, entrepreneurs or just other sympathetic users who become interested can put in time, money or effort to make the sketched plans come true. Slowly the communities of talented artists, inventors already grow as well as support groups. Tanya Prive, Chief Operations Officer explained the concept. “Rock The Post connects people, within a business context, in very unique ways, which allows linked minded individuals to form complimentary business partnerships that are otherwise not available through their own networks.”
In order to post ideas on Rock the Post, people have to create an account or to log in using their Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn accounts. Users have the option of publishing their posts and submit their proposals on the website for 30, 60 or 90 days and if the goal is not reached, the time can be extended. Although Rock the Post is still young in the cyberspace, after a November release, the fresh social network has members from 116 countries and managed to gather so far $350,000 in funding.
