South Korea Plans To Block Pornography On Teenagers’ Smartphones

South Korea always do take special care for its youth. We have seen the country taking proactive steps when it comes to their youths and implementing curfews for gaming. Now the country is going one more step ahead. South Korea plans to block pornography and swear words on teenagers’ smartphones.

Due to inborn demand of human necessity or pleasure, from teenage, people trends to pornography. Indonesia realized the matter and blocked 1 million pornographic sites. However, South Korea has found that its teenagers see pornography through smartphones. So the South Korean government wants to install software on teenagers’ smartphones that will block “illegal and harmful information (including pornography and nudity).”

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family believes that installing the software will block swear words and slang. Besides it will also prevent “cyber-bullying” on social and messaging networks. But to do so, the governmental body will need a compulsory filtering service for mobile carriers that will block “harmful information”.
