Prince William exchanged vows with his lovely bride Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday (April 29). The couple’s nuptials immediately changed their titles, with William now dubbed the Duke of Cambridge while Miss Middleton is now referred to as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.
As for the vows, William proudly proclaimed, “I, William Arthur Philip Louis, take thee, Catherine Elizabeth, to my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse. For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death us do part.”
The couple’s marriage was doted with music performed by the London Chamber Orchestra while Kate wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress – with the designer being a known favorite of the late Princess Diana.
Quite the well-attended affair, royalty and celebrities including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla, the Middleton family, Prince Harry, Chelsy Davy, David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John and Guy Ritchie all watched on as their loved ones became husband and wife.
