Data Suggests Banning The Pirate Bay Is Of Little Effect In UK

In last April, British High Court ordered five British internet service providers (including BT, Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin Media, Everything Everywhere, and O2) to block access to the file-sharing site The Pirate Bay, in an effort to stop Britons from illegally downloading music, movies, TV shows, and software. The decision came after the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which represents music copyright holders, failed to negotiate voluntary blocking. But the move doesn’t seems to prove fruitful. According to new data, peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing moved back to pre-ban state in UK.
