Google has released a new compatibility pack which helps developers combat fragmentation-related issues. The new released static library exposes the same Fragments API (as well as the new LoaderManager and a few other classes) so that applications compatible with Android 1.6 or later can use fragments to create tablet-compatible user interfaces.

Italian ICT services provider Olivetti announced the launch of the OliPad, a tablet PC device based on the Android OS. The Olivetti OliPad tablet will go on sale next Monday, March 7, 2011. As noted, this Olivetti tablet is first appearing in December 2010. The Olivetti OliPad will be available on sale in Italy for price of euro 399 (about $575).
