Google Purchased 1K Patents From IBM To Save Android From Apple

Google has purchased more than 1,000 patents from IBM in an effort to build up its intellectual property portfolio and possibly with an eye to fending off the increasing number of IP lawsuits the search giant faces from competitors such as Microsoft. The new purchase boosts Google’s intellectual property portfolio which currently has just 700 patents and the loss of Nortel patents was a big blow to Google as the search engine was willing to pay any price to beef up its bank of patents. IBM has just enough patents to give Google some ammunition to fend off lawsuits and Google can buy enough patents to put the lawsuit genie back in the bottle………….

Enormous Google+ Accounts Deleted In The Last 24 Hours

Google’s stance on users listing their real names on Google+ continues to cause headaches on the fledgling social networking site with a spate of account deactivations as users with non-typical names or pseudonyms found their profiles locked and some people feel there are good reasons to use a fake name and also some people have even lost access to all of their Google accounts. Google is pushing to have common names listed rather than allowing users to register weird spellings, obviously fake names or use characters and will also make communications with those affected more comprehensive…………..

Google has decided to harness their powers for the good of the people, and they are doing it in a very interesting way. So here is the scenario. You are browsing the web on your PC and you decide to use Google Search. As you enter your search term, a big yellow warning appears that says your computer is infected with malware. I know your first thought is probably that the malware itself has redirected to a page and wants you to buy their “antivirus” scanner for a chunk of change. But this isnt the case at all.

Google CEO Larry Page Announced To Pull Of Google Labs

Google announced that it plans to shutter its Labs department in an effort to focus more on its products and also announced the loss of Labs, Google has decided to close its Labs initiative as part of the company’s efforts to streamline its product portfolio and focus its development efforts. The closing of Google Labs doesn’t affect the company’s policy to encourage employees to devote 20 percent of their work time and Google will continue to experiment with new features in each of our products……………

Google Introduced New In-App Payment Service For The Developers

Google brings in-app payments to any Web app and surprisingly easy fix gives apps the ability to charge for things in app. Google started talking about this particular new capability back at the I/O show way back in May, now it’s officially out and the interesting part is it just took one line of code to activate the feature and make it available to app developers…………..

Google+ iPhone App Is Here!!

We know that Google promise that iPhone app will be releasing soon and it’s now here with including views of your main stream and nearby users, sharing via Circles and support for the Huddle group messaging feature. Google+ remains in invite-only beta and new users must obtain an email invitation from someone who is already using the service, but with the launch of the official app we can hope that a public introduction of the new social network is right around the corner…………..
