It allows you to extract the old SHSH blobs signature files, even if Apple stops signing older firmware files. Since Apple no longer signs iOS 4.1 blobs, they can’t be saved through TinyUmbrella or Cydia, but the newly released SHSH extractor tool can dig deep down and preserve the blobs regardless.

GreenPois0n RC5 iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak to Support Verbose Boot and Custom Boot Logo

The upcoming GreenPois0n RC5 will be sporting two new features, one is verbose boot and another is custom boot logos. With verbose boot you can see the boot up process instead of just a pretty logo. A custom boot logo is what shows when you boot up the device (by default, it is a white Apple logo). Similarly, the custom recovery logo is the “Connect to iTunes” graphic that you see in Recovery Mode. At least the latest tweet from pod2g suggests so! Check out the video after the break.

Sony Reader App is available for the Android devices, has been listed in the Android market for free. Like other eBook apps, Sony Reader allows you to adjust the font size and brightness, and supports bookmarking and highlighting. Tap the bottom of the reading window and a slider appears which you can move to skip ahead or back. You can also jump between bookmarks and highlighted passages, and Reader offers a decent built-in search function as well. As an added bonus for owners of a Sony Reader Daily Edition, you can keep your Android device and e-ink reading on the same page, as it were.
