Microsoft’s Surface tablet will launch to the general public on October 26th with pricing consistent with the iPad 16GB, that is $499. Unlike Apple’s base-model iPad, the Surface will come with 32 GB storage, twice the amount — but turns out all that space isn’t usable. Around 12 GB of space is allocated for the Windows RT operating system installed on the Surface tablet PC.
