3D printing has come about to play an increasingly significant role in many fields. 3D printers are being used to test out new structures for different things, enhancing their durability and strength. A technology enthusiast has now created X-Cube, which is the hardest Rubik’s cube ever created.
This tough nut has been created by Dane Christianson. He works at the Idea Shop, which has made its name around the tech social circles for leading the way to innovations in 3D printing. The facility is located at Illinois Institute of Technology.
Christianson used a 3D printer to create what he claims to be the toughest Rubik’s cube of all times. The cube’s dimensions are 3 x 3 x 3 and you can scramble the cube if you wanted to.
3D printing has recently proved revolutionary in envisioning such structures which can prove a lot stronger than their conventional counterparts. From devising new building structures to those of cubes, it is no wonder that we are finally witnessing different initiatives in 3D printing.
By coupling prototyping software with the power of rapid 3D printing, developers are able to test out different structures and see which one turns out to be the toughest nut. We can expect to see many more structure-centric uses of 3D printing in the coming days. Watch the video below to see the X-Cube in action:
