A Sony camera news site called Sony Alpha Rumors has claimed that Sony’s new NEX series cameras will be announced in September before Photokina show. The NEX series is a popular product line of Sony camera and the upcoming models are NEX-5R and NEX-6. The source also claimed that both cameras will feature Wi-Fi support.
The NEX-5R will have 80 degree flip screen and 16 Megapixel sensor. On the other side, the NEX-6 will have built-in electronic viewfinder. There are no more details about specifications. It is hard to say the performance of both cameras.
The existing NEX owners need not to look for new bodies, because three new NEX lenses such as 16-50mm pancake, 11-18mm pancake and a fast prime lens will be announced at the same program.
