Recently, Gizmodo’s Twitter account has been hacked by a group called Clan VV3. They breached the account via ex-employee’s twitter & email account which was also hacked on Friday. They spread serious offensive & racist message to the followers of Gizmodo. Though the security breach didn’t last too long but it was a warning to other sites as well. We are also sorry for the attack.
The hackers attacked ex-employee Mat Honan’s e-mail and Twitter account first. Then they accessed to Gizmodo account through his twitter account. Gizmodo first blamed Mat Honan for the security breach they faced to their account.
Later they realized that it wasn’t his fault & apologized through a quick tweet.
We came to know that Honan’s Twitter account has been suspended & he created a Twitter new account @mathonan
