New Updates Added To Mountain Lion Developer Preview By Apple, Includes New Security Features

Apple regularly keeps shipping out new updates for its OS. Especially, these updates are first rolled out to the developers to gain their valuable feedback on it. Now, the company has released a new update for Mountain Lion Developer Preview 4. The update is available to the developers via Mac App Store.


The new update specifically brings a  whole lot of new security features. For instance, the new security features includes Gatekeeper and many other features, a move Apple had to take after the Flash malware was discovered to have infected hundreds of thousands of Mac machines.

Moreover, the new update also contains daily checks for required security updates. Moreover, you can choose to install the new security updates by restarting your Mac or by simply choose to have them installed automatically.

Apple is also touting that the update will bring a secure connection of your Mac to Apple’s servers, thus significantly mitigating the possibilities of a virus or a malware infecting your Mac. The size of the update is about 1.16GB and you can download and install it via the Mac App Store.
