Microsoft has been putting a lot of efforts in enticing students to adopt its Office 365 offering. The company already offers a highly discounted deal for the students and has launched another attractive offer; students can now sign up for six months of free usage of the service, together with 20GB of free SkyDrive storage.
Currently, Microsoft offers the Office 365 service to the students for the ultra-low price of $80 for four years. The deal includes the ability to use the service across two devices. Students can pay another $80 and then secure access to Office 365 for another four years.
However, the critical step for Microsoft is to let the students view the ‘magic’ of Office 365 so that they would be willing to sign up for it. To do this, the company has now launched the offer which lets students access Office 365 free, for the duration of three months. If they share the offer on Facebook, they get to access the service for another three months, free.
To go with it, the company is also offering 20GB of free SkyDrive storage space to the students. Any student with a .edu email can sign up for the deal. And we are sure that this deal is going to lead hordes of new students to eventually sign up for the deal.
