Microsoft has recently unveiled the new Microsoft Office suite, called Office 2013 (aka Office 15). In an event, the company also allowed a quick glimpse at Office 365 products. The most important part of these revelations is that Microsoft is planning to tie up its Office suite with its cloud, so as to make the experience far more mobile.

According to Microsoft Chief executive, Steve Ballmer, “Your modern office thinks cloud first. You can just click and start running Office immediately. Office is a service first. And I would tell you this is the most ambitious release of Microsoft Office that we’ve ever done.”

The company seems to be finally moving forth from a lot of its old traits. For instance, it has already revealed ARM machines running Windows 8. And now, it seems that Microsoft is following the same philosophy when it comes to Office products.

According to the CEO of Microsoft, “It feels like it’s 1995 at Microsoft again. We have the most exciting, vibrant, dynamic operating system in years with Windows 8 and we combine that with the most exciting, vibrant new version of Office in years.”

The Office 2013 Consumer Preview is already available and you can lay your hands on it to get a first-hand taste of how the new Office version feels like. To get started with the preview, head straight to this page and download and install it.

Since now is the time to give your feedback, it would be great if you tested out the preview in detail, checking how it runs on your touchscreen device, how effective and efficient it is and how comfortable do you feel with its new Metro interface.
