In the recent past, we have seen many images of what are being claimed as iPhone 5S SIM tray. To add to the mix, another Gunmetal-colored iPhone 5S SIM tray has now been spotted in a Japanese hardware store. However, it can’t be said for sure whether or not this piece of hardware actually belongs to an upcoming iPhone model.

Gunmetal iPhone 5S SIM Tray

In iPhone 5, we saw a white SIM tray but it would seem that in the upcoming iPhone 5S, Apple is exploring other options. This seems probable, if the numerous leaked images are to be believed. In the past month, many images of such iPhone 5S SIM trays have surfaced, one of them bearing the Champagne color.

Banking on the leaked images, it can be said that Apple has plans of launching iPhone 5S with SIM trays of Gunmetal and Champagne color. The Champagne colored iPhone 5S SIM tray may seem an apt part of the alleged gold-plated iPhone 5S. Again, we are not sure if such an iPhone 5S model may be released but the leaks suggest that Apple is readying one.

Just ahead of the launch of iPhone 5 last year, a number of leaks surfaced which were correctly able to identify the design, specifications and other details of the handset. This suggests that even this year, Apple’s upcoming handset may be a victim of similar leaks. Nonetheless, the fact that the latest scoop on iPhone 5S SIM tray comes from a hardware store in Japan makes it seem a tad bit unlikely because Japan itself is not a part of Apple’s key supply chain.
