Surely at present, iPhone 5 is one of the buzzing topics which Apple released on September 12. In fact, iPhone is such a phone that grabs every people’s attention, even thieves’ too. On last Thursday, September 6, some thieves slammed a BMW car into the Apple Store at Promenade Mall, in Temecula, California and looted idevices (iPhone, iPad etc). The security cameras inside the store captured the whole thing. Want to see?
There were two thieves in the car. One was 22 year old Equonne R. Howard and the other was unnamed. Howard smashed his own BMW car into the Apple store. Then the unnamed masked thief came out of the BMW and started to pick up only a bunch of iPhone and iPad; not the MacBooks or MacBook Airs. While he was stealing, Howard was in the car and was trying to get his BMW out of the store. Two security cameras inside the Apple store captured the entire stealing incident. Here is the exclusive video.
Later they successfully came out the store with the stolen idevices but their car had become punctured. Howard changed one of the punctured tires of the BMW near the Apple store. Later he drove the car to a nearby 7-11 and stole a can of Fix-A-Flat in order to repair the other punctured tire. But he failed to repair and therefore he preferred to abandon the car. But he noticed that, the front license plate of his car was missing. So he went back to Apple store in order to retrieve the front license plate and at that time Riverside Sheriff’s deputies nabbed him. The police checked his body and found the BMW’s key in his pocket. Later, police found the car.
However, Howard is being held in a Riverside County jail on a $600,000 bond, which is reportedly an estimate of the damage done to the Apple Store. According to the Press-Enterprise, this might be Howard’s third strike. It’s been expected he is going to visit the jail for a minimum sentence of 25 years.
