MSI has launched three Sandy Bridge-based notebooks in the US, the MSI FX420, the MSI FR720 and the MSI FX720. They are brings MSI Cinema Pro (enhances image quality) and Turbo Battery+ technology.
The FX420 starts at $749.99 and features an LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display, the Core i3/i5 processor, a 1GB Radeon HD 6470M, up to a 750GB hard drive, a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 720p webcam, a card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 6-cell battery.
As for the FR720 and FX720, they have base price tags of $709.99 and $849.99, respectively, and boast an 1600 x 900 display, a Core i5/i7 CPU, a 250GB, 320GB or 500GB hard drive, a Blu-ray drive or DVD writer, four speakers paired up with THX TruStudio Pro technology, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11n WiFi, a 720p-recording webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI output and a 6-cell battery. The FR720 utilizes Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics, while the FX720 is equipped with a GeForce GT 520M 1GB discrete graphics card.
