Sony has introduced the VAIO Pro 13 ultrabook – a 13.3-inch touchscreen ultrabook that is lighter than MacBook Air. This ultrabook offers Full HD Triluminos display with 10 point touchscreen, and all day mobility in a sleek design. Users can get even longer battery life with an optional extended sheet battery.
The Sony Vaio Pro 13 features a fourth-gen 1.6GHz Core i5 or 1.8 GHz Core i7 Intel processor to deliver long battery life and superior performance. It comes with the best 13.3-inch (1,920×1,080 pixels) 1080p touchscreen which is powered by 1,659MB Intel HD Graphics 4400 and is competitively priced for its features. This ultrabook has 4 GB of DDR3 1,600MHz memory and a high speed 128GB PCIe solid state drive. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and NFC.
There is also a Core i7 version of Sony Vaio Pro 13. It has 8 GB of DDR3 1,600MHz memory, with a high-speed 256GB PCIe solid state drive.
The VAIO Pro 13 weighs only 2.34 pounds; it’s 2.9 pounds with its power supply, which is quite the same what the 13-inch MacBook Air weighs. The body measures 12.7 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep, which is fractionally smaller than the Air. the thickness matches at 0.68-inch. The Sony VAIO Pro 13 is currently available at U.S. retail stores and online stores, including Amazon. The Vaio Pro 13 Core i5 version cost $1,250 and the Core i7 version cost $1,800.
