Is Windows Phone 8 Officially Releasing On 29 October?

We covered a news at July that, Windows Phone 8 may release either in October Or November. Later we found a news at the middle of August that “Windows Phone 8 may debut in September.” But now, people on streets are whispering that Windows Phone 8 will be officially launched on October 29. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

According to Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet, her unnamed source who knows Microsoft’s event plans/schedules has confirmed her that after the official release of Windows 8 on 26 October, Windows Phone 8 will be officially launched on 29 October. Added to this news, Mary Jo Foley’s unnamed source also informed her that Microsoft’s Build 2012 Conference will take place from October 30 to November 2.

When asked Microsoft about the confirmation for Windows Phone 8 and Microsoft’s Build 2012 Conference, the company simply mentioned “no comment” for the both. Therefore, that raises a question, “Is it a news or rumor?”
