RIM’s Newest Business Phone BlackBerry Storm 3

America's leading smartphone maker Research in Motion(RIM) is following up with a Storm 3 later this year and a Storm 4 in 2011. The Storm series, in their tablet touchscreen form factor, will be competing with the yet to be released BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider, which uses a touchscreen that slides in portrait mold to reveal a keyboard.

Blackberry Storm 3 has not been yet officially announced, however, it is rumored to be out in the market, soon. Its specifications available, so far, are the unofficial.

The preliminary specifications of the phone suggests that it is a 3G phone, based on the Blackberry operating system, just like other Blackberry phones. It has got a 3.7 inch, 65 K colors, TFT capacitive touchscreen display with the Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and an Optical trackpad. Internal memory of this phone is 8 GB, 512 MB RAM and it also has a capacity of 32 GB of external memory. The camera is 5 MP, 2592?1944 pixels, autofocus with Geo-tagging, image stabilization and video recording.

Blackberry Storm 3, once launched in the market, will be available at cheap rates with Blackberry Storm 3 Orange as well as other deals.

The hard drive industry has been shrinking rapidly. There have been acquisitions and mergers left, right and middle. One of the main reasons is that the a lot of storage is now going into the clouds, offered by alternate tech giants and the traditional hard drive big-wigs are having a hard trying to catch up. The latest in the list of acquisitions is Seagate’s intents of buying the hard drive vendor LaCie at $186 million.
