Samsung Reportedly To Launch ‘Galaxy S3 Mini’ On October 11th

At Samsung’s upcoming October 11th event they are expected to present a ‘Galaxy S3 Mini’ smartphone. Their flagship phone, the Galaxy S3, was released during late-May and is known for its large 4.8 inch display. With the iPhone 5 being released just weeks ago; Samsung is expected to backfire with a smaller-version of their Galaxy S3 for competitive reasons.

The invitations Samsung sent out earlier this week were set for October 11th. In Germany, the invitations sent out included the words, “how big small can be.” That nearly means they plan to launch a popular device with a smaller display.

Furthermore, the event invitation included an “S” in the background, creating suspense that the production launch relates to their S-series products.

Samsung’s main competitor, Apple, has three smartphones on the market; the iPhone 4, 4S, and 5. Two of them have 3.5″ displays while the other measures in at slightly above 4″. If Samsung wants to compete with smaller and larger sized smartphones, they will need to release that ‘Galaxy S III Mini’ device.

Last week a Samsung Galaxy S III Mini rumor indicated the device would have a 4-inch display, 5 megapixel camera, dual-core processor, and Android’s latest operating system, Jelly Bean.
