Sony Released Xperia Z1 LTE (Unlocked) In The U.S.

Sony unveiled Xperia Z1 at IFA 2013. Since then, many people had been waiting for the LTE version of this smartphone. And the good news is lately, Sony has released the LTE version (unlocked) of Xperia Z1 in the U.S.

The Xperia Z1 LTE weighs 5.9 ounces and measures 5.68-inch x 2.90-inch x 0.33-inch. Although, at present this smartphone runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), Sony has already started upgrading the mobile phone to the newer Android 4.4 (KitKat) platform. However, the Xperia Z1 LTE comes with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage space.

The handset also packs 2MP front facing camera for making video calls, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity. The handset also features Exmor RS for Mobile, Sony G Lens, BIONZ for mobile, and f/2.0 aperture, capable of offering support for full HD video recording capabilities. The battery of this handset is capable of delivering up to 850 hours of standby time.

Although during launch, the mobile phone came in three colors – Black, Purple and White, but at present only the Black colored Xperia Z1 LTE is available in the U.S. If you want to grab the Purple and White flavors of the device, then you’ll have to wait until April 30, 2014.
