Later on, Chinese handset manufacturer Oppo made the 6.65mm-thick Finder and took the spot for the thinnest handset. And now, another Chinese telecom giant ZTE is claiming ‘thinnest’ mobile spot. ZTE’s new ‘Athena’ smartphone is just 6.2mm. It could be the world’s thinnest smartphone to date.

We couldn’t gather the detail specifications about ‘Athena’. But the phone is said to feature 720p IPS display (True HD screen), Cortex-A15 processor (could be multi-core), ZTE’s “Mifavor Android” skin and up to 64GB of internal storage. Though director of the company Mr. Lu Qianhao’s post reveals a number of photos of the device, but none of them are clear enough. The phone may come with different color options. However, it is not clear when the phone may hit the market.
