Apple Announces 128GB Version Of iPad 4, Available From Feb. 5

We recently reported that according to ‘inside reports’, Apple was readying a 128GB version of the fourth-generation iPad. Apple has decided to substantiate these rumors sooner than we expected by actually announcing the new 128GB model with Retina display. The model will become available on February 5. Pricing details are listed below.

Apple officially announced the new model in a press release posted on its website. As was speculated in our earlier article, the company has made the new model available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+Cellular flavors. Moreover, both white and black colors will be available in each of these flavors.

According to Apple, the 128GB model will become available through Apple’s retail stores, online store as well as authorized resellers from February 5th. The Wi-Fi only model will be priced at $799 whereas the Wi-Fi+Cellular flavor will arrive with a price tag of $929.

Speaking at the occasion, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller said, “With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs. With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
