It’s well known that Google Nexus 7 packs 1.3 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Recently, two XDA developers known as Simms22 and clemsyn have crumbled down the clock speed barrier. Their custom Elite kernel pushed the Nexus 7 to a different level. It pushed Nexus 7’s quad-core processor to a clock speed of 2.0 GHz.
Earlier in August, we have seen that Nexus 7 overclocked to 1.7 GHz and scoring 7000 plus points in Quadrant benchmarks. But this time, the device has crossed its previous score by crossing the 8000 mark.
It has been possible for “clemsyn’s very special and experimental test kernel.” However, the Kernel seems to have a few defects. Nexus 7 users will have to wait to get a hold on it, until the developers solve the defects of the Kernel.
