The Rydeen company is a relative unknown to most around the world but they two are coming with a tablet of their very own. The Rydeen gPad GCOM701 is the name for the 7-inch Android tablet.The Rydeen gPad makes use of the Marvell ARMADA 166 800MHz processor. The 7-inch screen with 800×480 pixels resolution(which will be the predominant resolution until Gingerbread is released) as well as touchscreen capability. The tablet will also feature up to 2GB of RAM. At this time there is no information for just how much storage the gPad will come with. However, the tablet will come with a microSD card slot which recognizes up to 32GB of card storage. In their press release Rydeen didn’t mention which version of Google Android OS they will have in their tablet.
The gPad will come with some pretty nice features too like a built-in GPS receiver (the NXP GNS7560), built-in bluetooth which will allow the gPad to connect to cellphones, Wi-Fi b/g and USB ports.The Rydeen gPad GCOM701 will start to become available in November in a Black or White color option. The price is still yet to be set but they are probably going to announce that with the amount of built-in storage that the gPad will come with.
