Cyber War: Bangladeshi Hackers Hacked 20,000 Indian Websites

Someone remarked a while ago that the wars of the future will all be fought in the realm of internet. The recent offensive launched by Anonymous against US government did affirm that in a way. Now, Bangladeshi hackers have launched an offensive against their Indian counterparts and have hacked a total of 20,000 Indian websites. This attack comes after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) killed Bangladeshi personnel near the border.

The group that claims that it has hacked 20,000 Indian websites calls itself ‘Bangladesh Black Hat hackers.’ The group of hackers noted down on it’s Facebook page, “India hacked our 400 sites in total, we hacked 20,000 sites in total since the war started.”

This may also be a response to Indian hackers who attacked Bangladeshi websites last weeks and hacked a few of them. The Indian group that was involved in the attack was called ‘Indian Cyber Army.’ These Indian hackers attacked the websites of five ministries in Bangladesh and also of a trade organization.

The main point of pressure that provoked this huge attack from Bangladeshi hackers was apparently the BSF killings. The group said on the FB page, “We don’t have any personal issues with Indians. But the brutality of BSF as well as Indian government has forced us to do this.”
