A couple of days ago we reported that Apple has got approval to build its 2.8-million-square-foot ‘spaceship’ campus 2 which will be built in Cupertino and totally runs on solar power. Watch the Apple Campus 2 presentation which is pushing the boundaries of technology and almost every aspect.
When Appple campus will be ready, 80% of the site will be green space. The campus will have natural ventillation and 75% time of the year, the Apple Campus 2 won’t need air conditioning or heating. The campus will be powered 100% renewable energy. In fact, it’ll be one of the largest solar-powered corporate campuses in the world. See the Apple Campus 2 in video.

He’s a decent salesman, even with his over-obvious goating the council members to get done with the approval process and that cheapish ploy getting some 30 people to stand up in support.
If I was on the Cupertino council, I’d ask for them to make some small part of the park accessible to the public, but I guess the new greenery for the surrounding roads will be a lot better than nothing. With any luck, the effect will spread.
