Rumor: Apple’s 7-inch iPad Coming In August, Next iPhone Landing In September

DigiTimes has a knack of churning out Apple-related rumors regularly, now many of which eventually turn out to be accurate enough. Now, the publication has claimed that the manufacturer, Pegatron, has been acquired the manufacturing of the next-gen iPhone from Apple. And that this iPhone is expected to be released during September this year.

While a lot of us do expect Apple’s iPhone to land sometime soon, pinning it on September is narrowing it down too much. Another claim that has been made by the DigiTimes article is that Apple’s main manufacturer, Foxconn, will be creating a 7-inch mini iPad for Apple. And that this mini iPad is scheduled to be released in August.

Interestingly, the claims of the article do not stop at that. The publication further makes another claim which is, by far, the most improbable of the three claims. It says that Pegatron will also be producing another 10″ iPad which will be released in the fourth quarter this year. With Apple having just released its new iPad, it is next to impossible that Apple will be churning out another iPad during this year.

Usually, Apple takes a year or so before the launch of the next release on a line up. Moreover, with sales going really strong with the new iPad, there is no need really for the company to release another iPad tablet. Naturally, these are just rumors and you may take them as amusing claims rather than expected events.
