Sony Ericsson Pepper: A Quick Sneak Peak

The teams from Xperia blog had the chance of catching a glimpse of Sony Ericsson MT27i ‘Pepper’, rumored to be the successor of the Xperia neo V. Apparently, the new handset form Sony Ericsson packs a 1 GHz dual core processor, an features a 3.7-inch display with 480 x 854 resolution and a 5MP camera and video recording capabilities of 720p.

According to the pictures published by the above mentioned technology blog, Sony Ericsson MT27i ‘Pepper’ doesn’t have the same LED notification strip as Nozomi and Nyphon models, although it has the same appearance with straight lines ast the two models. On the display, there are easily visible the three capacitive buttons for the main functions: back, home and menu. We’ve previously shared our sneak peak regarding another great smatphone from Sony, called Nozomi.

On the back of the phone one can see the camera lens, surrounded by a plastic ring and a noise suppression microphone. The industry observers suggest that Sony Ericsson MT27i ‘Pepper’. “We doubt there will be a true Xperia neo successor in 2012 as we expect Sony Ericsson to employ greater differentiation between handsets this year,” explains Xperia Blog. This relies on the fact that last year, Xperia arc and Xperia neo had similar features.

On the other hand, the same analysts point out that a release in a few days, at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is very unlikely. Probably, Sony Ericsson MT27i Pepper will be introduced to the market in February.
