Annual developer conferences are a popular way for tech companies to discuss ideas. It is also an occasion to show off different new products and gain valuable feedback from the developers. Google and Apple already had their developer conferences earlier this year. And now Microsoft is gearing up for its annual conference titled ‘BUILD 2012.’
Today, the company has announced the dates for its upcoming developer conference. BUILD 2012 is scheduled to happen through the dates of October 30 – November 2 and it will be held on Microsoft’s corporate campus in Redmond, Washington.
Microsoft is expected to unveil its much-anticipated operating system, Windows 8, towards the end of October this year. And the BUILD conference is conveniently scheduled about a week later so that the developers will get to lay their hands on the OS and check it out ahead of the event.
During the conference, speakers from Microsoft’s engineering teams will speak on a wide range of topics. These include Windows Phone 8, Windows Azure, Visual Studio 2012, Windows Server 2012 and most probably Windows 8. In fact, we can expect Microsoft to dedicate a significant amount of time to Windows 8 during the event, taking the opportunity to bring it to limelight.
Details and updates about the conference can be found at its official website here. Registrations are closed for now but they will open on August 8th.
