Samsung has been very tight-lipped when it comes to Galaxy S4 mini. The smaller handset has been at the center of many recent rumors and speculations, and yet Samsung didn’t reveal any significant information to confirm or refute its existence. Now, however, the company has confirmed that it exists.
TGSpot is an official website where Samsung shows off apps for different devices by the company. The website lets you sort the apps by device, so that you can filter the exact apps that you are looking for.
It would appear that the site was recently found to feature such apps which carried support for Galaxy S4 mini. This is the first time any of Samsung’s official forums have made a mention of this handset. The screenshot posted above clearly shows Galaxy S4 mini being displayed in the second row.
While it is near confirmed now that the device does exist, we are still unaware of the exact specifications it will pack. Rumors have it that it is going to ship with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, packing a 960 x 540 resolution. Moreover, it may include a 1.6GHz processor and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
The ‘mini’ in the device’s moniker is simply meant as a comparison with the actual Galaxy S4 handset. So don’t expect to see a handset that will be a little too small – rather, despite being ‘mini’, the Galaxy S4 mini will still feature a 4.3-inch display.
