Microsoft has started rolling out invitation for its E3 2014 Media Briefing event. The event has been titled ‘Xbox: Game On‘ and is expected to feature a number of new titles for Microsoft’s new game console.
The event is due to take place on June 9 at Galen Center, USC campus. Microsoft has routinely held this event years after years to give a glimpse of its upcoming offerings to the media. This year, the overwhelming focus of the briefing is going to be Xbox One and Microsoft plans to up the ante on the console by unveiling some major announcements.
Although the company didn’t divulge exactly what the event will comprise of, some have claimed that, “During the briefing, you’ll be treated to everything from in-depth looks at previously announced games to trailers for our unannounced games coming in 2014 and beyond.”
Xbox One is currently pitted in a fierce battle with Sony’s PS4 console. Both are quite close in terms of the price tag and the real competition lies in the number and quality of the titles offered on each. With this event, Microsoft hopes to weigh the balance in favor of Xbox One. Reports have it that the company may announce titles such as Halo 2 Anniversary, Fable Legends and Forza Horizon landing on Xbox One, but we will have to wait for the event to confirm these reports.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. PDT and we will be bringing the latest from it to you in real-time. So stay tuned to our site for the major announcements out of the June 9 Media Briefing.
