The Foursquare Labs Inc. has updated its new app Swarm for iOS 8 with a check-in widget which will let you check in without opening the app and have a quick look to your nearby friends.
After splitting in two different apps, Foursquare has tried to offer the best check-in experience to its users through Swarm as this app is basically focused to check-in within most faster time. To enrich the service, the company has added Swarm widget for iOS 8 users to make the check-in faster than ever.
Sometimes, you are probably in rush and you want to check-in as fast as possible. But launching the app and then make a check-in could take few moments. On the other hand, Swarm brings the widget that allows you to do it with single tap. To use this quick way, you have to swipe down your ‘Today’ view and tap on ‘check-in‘ button. The widget will show you some default locations of your nearby venue. But if you want to add some other locations than default, then you have to open the app to do that.
In widget, you can also see check your friend’s checked-in who are roaming within a 5-mile radius. To get all this quick features, you have to just update the app to latest version. Currently Swarm Widget has updated only for iOS 8, but it might be arrived on Android and Windows platform, though the company hasn’t confirmed that yet.
