Lenovo has a couple of tablets that will join the increasingly crowded tablet market in the coming weeks and the company send a note to members of its affiliate program that informs them that the IdeaPad K1 Android tablet will be announced sometime later this month. The affiliate newsletter also mentioned a ThinkPad Tablet that will be announced this coming Tuesday (June 28th) and it is pretty sure that Lenovo will be making an announcement next week giving official details about both the tablets……….
Lenovo has sent their affiliat program members, in the message the announce dates for the IdeaPad K1 and a ThinkPad tablet are noted and it appears that the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 tablet which had it’s price leaked early thanks to OfficeMax ($499 for 32GB Wi-Fi) is coming either late this month or next month. As for the Lenovo ThinkPad tablet it is set to come on June 28th or just two days from now. ThinkPad Tablet had some of it’s main features exposed earlier but a price has been elusive and the ThinkPad branded tablet dubbed Think Slate on the roadmap will be an enterprise product with an ARM dual-core chip, Android Honeycomb, Lenovo family UI, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 LCD, Security, Managability, Enterprise Customization and CTS. The Think Slate was listed as a global product that will launch for all buyers. As for the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 have a bit more details confirmed for the consumer tablet and supposed to come with Android Honeycomb, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 multi-touch screen, dual cameras, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 32GB of storage, and up to 10 hours of battery life. Design wise the K1 is expected to come in a White color with an Aluminum rear case, the weight of the K1 is estimated at 1.6 lb.
