A California woman lost her two children 15 years ago, when her husband kidnapped them and said she would never see them again. But back in March the woman just happened to search her children’s names on Facebook, she found her daughter’s profile. She added her as a friend, and they messaged back and forth. The mother then contacted the office of San Bernardino Deputy District Attorney Kurt Rowley. The folks there were able to establish that the children were in Florida and move them into the custody of the Department of Children and Families after arresting the father.
With the father in jail, custody of the two teenagers was then given to their Facebook-savy mother.
