NVIDIA’s Ion to is all the rage right now, but ASUS still has a few tricks left in store for the progenitor nettop GPU. The EeeBox EB1501U sports a typical nettop processor — in this case, the older Diamondville Intel Atom 330 dual core — with Ion One, and as an added bonus, there’s USB 3.0 support. The new Asus Eee Box EB1501U has just been announced at CeBIT. The Eee Box nettop looks exactly the same as the EB1501 model which it replaces, and it essentially is, but with USB 3.0 ports instead.
This ASUS Eee Box EB1501U mini desktop is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual-core 330 processor, an integrated GeForce 9400M graphics card, a NVIDIA ION chipset, up to 4GB RAM, and up to 320GB hard drive.
ASUS Eee Box EB1501U nettop is equipped with a dual-layer DVD burner, WiFi connectivity, a 5-in-1 card reader, an HDMI output, six USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an eSATA port, and a VGA port. It is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
