Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic Lumix FT10 (TS10), it’s Waterproof 3m, Freeze-proof -10℃, Shockproof 1.5m and Dust-proof, with a 14.1-megapixel High-resolution CCD, iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode and Dedicated iA Button, HD Movie Recording (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps in Motion JPEG Format), 4x Optical Zoom Lens with Folded Optics Technology, 2.7-inch 230,000-dot High-resolution Intelligent LCD, it will be available in a number of colours and comes with a silicon case.
The DMC-FT10 is designed for active use, that is waterproof to a depth of 3 meters, freeze-proof of up to -10℃, shockproof for falls from up to 1.5 meters, and dust-proof. In addition, included silicone jacket gives you more secure handling. The 14.1-megapixel DMC-FT10 features a 4x optical zoom LUMIX DC VARIO lens. Comprising 11 elements and a prism unit in 10 groups, including an ED lens and 4 aspherical lenses with 7 aspherical surfaces, this advanced lens unit renders high resolution image corner to corner even adopting the folded optics. Further, in 3-megapixel resolution mode, the Extra Optical Zoom function provides additional magnification, extending the zoom power to 8.4x (294mm*) by using the center part of the high resolution CCD to bring subjects even closer.
